The disposal of all waste including sanitary waste is governed by regulations and legislation.

The Workplace Regulations 1992(Health, Safety and Welfare) specify that all businesses are required to provide a suitable method for the disposal of sanitary waste in ladies toilets.

The Water Industries Act 1991 states, that nothing should be flushed that could cause a blockage within a sewer or a drain.

The Environmental Protection Act 1990 places a legal 'duty of care' upon businesses to ensure that all waste produced at their premises is correctly managed right up to the point of final disposal.

The transportation of sanitary waste needs to be undertaken by a registered company such as ours that holds a current Waste Carriers Licence issued by the Environment Agency.

Norwich Washroom Services can provide you with the legally required Waste Transfer Documentation ensuring your business complies with these current regulations, giving you peace and mind that your waste has been correctly removed from site.
